There is always people who wants to and can afford to spend lots of money and the Oasis of the seas first New Years cruise will most likely be something to remember forever!
Personally I prefer to celebrate the New Year at home with good company and a bottle of great Champagne!
I've noticed any New Years cruise is lots of money...Not sure if its worth that much, but being a brand new ship, it may be possible, not for me though.
Yep the New Year's cruises are always overpriced and Oasis even more so. There will always be cruisers that can and will pay top dollar.
I hear New Year's eve on a ship is awesome.

New years eve on a cruiseship is definetely awsome. We have done once, but I want to do it again on a RCL megaship.
It may be expensive but to celebrate new year's eve on the Oasis would be an experience of a lifetime.

Yes overprices is one thing, to charge $3400.00 each for an inside cabin for a 7 day cruise (and a rotten itinerary at that) is interesting to say the least....Good luck to them in this economy

I checked that sailing and there are alot of insides still available. I have a feeling that rate is coming down. Still the rate will be on the high end being it is a new ship and New Years Eve.

Now that I think about it, I can't wait to book another new year's eve cruise.
In the last 3 years we did San Antonio, Texas ,a cruise and Las Vegas.
Don't have plans for this year yet.

People are willing to pay extra to be on a new exciting ship for New year's eve. It's the best time to be on a cruiseship. Also the Oasis will be the best ship to be on for a rocking new year's eve. Even in this economy there are many people out there who can afford it.

I just price a August 2010 cruise for a PR room and it was $1589.00 per person. That's very, very high. I know the ship is one of a kind but not for that price. I'll stay with the Mariner of the Seas cruise where I'm paying $310.00 per person for a PR room in september 09. Good luck filling up that ship. Seems like the investors want a fast payback on their investment.
