Independence of The Seas August 15th-29th anyone else going?

My husband and I are cruising with our two daughters (15 and 17) this summer, we have cruised 3 times before but never on a boat as big as this one.

Is anyone else going on this cruise with children around the same ages as my daughters, the eldest especially do not like going to the teens clubs and we were wondering if, if anyone else is in this situation our children could speak before hand.

We have only cruised once with Royal Caribbean on Navigator of the seas. Luckily we were seated with a family whose children were around the same ages so my 17 year old by the end of the holiday had a life long friend whom she still talks to now! If i knew that at dinner we would be seated with a family with children i would not be so worried as its much easier for her that way, however i do not know if we will be seated with another family or not!

If anyone is traveling with children like this please get back to me!

You are cruising right in the middle of European schools vacation time, so the ship will be packed with kids, some of which are bound to be teens.
Apart from going to the teen clubs, there are lots of places teens 'hang' like the Flowrider, Ice skating, putt putt golf, Basketball court,so they may want to hang around there and make friends You can always go and see the Maitre D on the first day and ask to be seated at a large table with families with teens.

Hi, I'm 17 (well 16 at the moment, I turn 17 before we sail) and I don't like the teen clubs either haha..I found last year they were overpopulated with 12 year olds...ha

I just searched the cruise in this forum and found this post.
Would be nice to speak to your daughters beforehand
