Just tell the front desk that you have an early flight (bring your tickets as proof) and ask for early disembarkation tags. Since you can't use a Clear card anymore, the lines tend to be long sometimes.
Also, the parking lot at the Port is "TERRIBLY ROUGH". I broke 2 luggage wheels trodding through the cracks and pot-holes to get my car which seemed to be parked in Outer Mongolia. It was to the point I was dragging my luggage.
Donna is right do the self-disembarkment. Carry off your own luggage and you will be off the ship in a flash.
Enjoy your cruise!!

My husband and I were on the May 31 sailing of the Freedom. We did the self-embarkation and were off the ship by 8:00. We also did the thing where we had them take our bags on to the airport and check us in. It was $25 per person. Was well worth the price. We didn't have to worry about luggage and got our bags at the airport when we arrived home. Also, didn't have to check in at airport. The only way to go!
Lac, disregard the last post re/ embarking & disembarking in Port Canaveral. I've been in and out of that Port a dozen times and can tell you it's probably the easiest one I've ever been through with possibly Tampa being about the same. It's a breeze.
There's always the possibility that something could go wrong but that's unlikely. You should be fine. Don't worry --leave your cares on the sidewalk in front of the entrance. Happy sails to you.
If Ken ( Sky ) sees this, he can vouch for the ease of this port--he's been in and out of there probably more than I have.
You will be fine.
Also , disembarking and embarking in Port Canveral is terrible compared to Miami. Uffff
Hey YA-MUNDO - do you EVER have anything good to say about ANYTHING?
Just so happens that we've embarked and disembarked from both Port Miami and Port Canaveral and they were BOTH lovely with no problems at all. My only gripe is that Miami charges $20 a day parking while all the others charge $15.

We were on the Monarch of the Seas May 15-18 2009. We did self check out and we were in line around 0745 and off the ship by 0815. Not too shabby. In comparison, we did the Majesty of the Seas in Feb 09, did self check out and weren't off the ship until nearly 0900!!

Good grief, Port Canaveral is a piece of cake...very organized and efficient. It's easier to get in and out because you don't have to drive through major cities like Miami just to get to the Port. In Miami, I parked in the lot directly across from my ship and when we returned, the Captain docked the ship at another terminal and we had to walk quite a distance to get to our car. The Porter apologized and was nice enough to haul all our luggage the distance (he got a good tip).
