We always did dinners in the Dining room instead of Windjammer when the kids were little. Of course that would depend on the child. Some kids are more active then others and can't sit still through a meal.
I would have the kiddies take an afternoon nap each day and then they were fine to sit through dinner and activities after dinner.
You can also tell the waiter you would like to speed things up this way you are not in the Dining room for two hours.
However the Windjammer with small kiddies also works and many families enjoy it.
As for the kids menus I have not looked at one in awhile. Should be the usual kids choices...burgers, hot dogs, mac and cheese, pasta etc.
If your kids are not picky eaters try ordering from the adult menu.

As the previous poster mentioned, the "kids" menu will have all the things kids love. In fact, the wait staff usually go out of their way to bring foods the kids will eat and enjoy! You may want to give the dining room a try and see how it goes.
we might try the dining room with him, but NOT on formal night. I'm not sure if it's better with other kids at the table or not. With kids, he tries to show off and act goofy, with adults, he tries to talk on our level. He is a hyper child, we take him to restaurants all the time, but we don't sit with other people. But Donna, you've made me consider trying one night. As hard as it is, he's never going to learn by not trying. Maybe the 3rd night, I have to get a "feel" for the other guests at the table. Y'all know what I mean!
