Default review of Rhapsody

Just back from the Rhapsody cruise to Alaska. This was our first ever cruise and I really enjoyed it. Of course, I cannot compare it to other cruise lines but we had much fun. The service, especially in the Edelwise was top notch, we ate there everynight. If we didn't care for a dish we ate it ( we don't like wasting) anyway but we ordered another dish also. My 19 year old son is rather shy and didn't want to join in with the 18-20 year old group so he did not have much to do at night. My other son is 21 he enjoyed the casino and the freedom of walking around with a drink in his hand. We all watched the "broadway" shows and they were entertaining. The sea days did not have much activities that I would like but I found it relaxing to watch the kids in the pool or playiing ping pong. My husband did alot of things he has never done - went to the art auction and played bingo.

The only thing i did not like was getting off the ship. THey had something called "express" check out. Well, we got up early and met at the desginagted time of 7:15 a.m. for the "express" checkout. Then were told to that they would like everyone who had early flights to go to first and the rest of us to into the Broadway Theater to have coffee. As my son said, "I could have slept another hour!" Needless to say we saw several people who did not have early flights moving to the front to get out early.

I must say it was an enjoyable trip and I would love to cruise again. I wrote a review of our shore excursions on the shore excursion forum.

Glad you enjoyed your first cruise!! I hope you are hooked like the rest of us cruise addicts! 8)

I think cruiselines should have some fun stuff going on for the 16 to 20 year olds. As they have outgrown the kids club yet too young for the casino and the under 18 year olds are not allowed in the disco.
