oil prices- cause for concern?

I have been watching oil prices and they crept above $65 per barrel. Is anyone concerned about the fine print on our tickets that says they can add a fuel surcharge? I leave on Aug 7th, and hope it does not happen. Just surprised that no one has discussed this with all the expensive cruises you are booked on.

You should be safe for your aug 7th. cruise. but if oil prices keep going up guess who is going to pay for it.

That's good, I'm sure they only do the surcharge if they have to, these ships use so much fuel. It's amazing that the larger ones use less fuel per person, so they are not more wastefull. What we really don't need now is higher fule prices. Gas at $2 a gallon is what we need to help us out of this slump.

The prices of oil hurt all business, but it is allways the consumer who must come up with extra money for everything to pay for high fuel costs.

Right now, I'm not too concerned. The economy (bad) is also playing a part in this.

I think they are trying to hold back as long as they can before the reinstitute the fuel surcharge. They may be able to nail those who have already paid in full but there will be a lot of cancellations for those who haven't. (my opinion only) based on what my clients have stated to me.

my opinium is that the nwe prizes for cruises allready have oil extra and that it is not nessesrey that oil prizes must pay extra every one now's that when you are in buisnes all the prizes are allin i think.

it give's the cruise organisation only extra incomming when it becommes above a price they are not stupid i think.
