We are considering a transatlantic cruise from Barcelona to Ft. Lauderdale in October. Any feedback would be appreciated. Are the seas any rougher than normal ? How is the weather ? Is it sunny and warm enough for pooling and hot tubbing?
On our first transatlantic cruise, which was in mid-September, we ran into the remnants of a hurricane. No one could go on deck for two days. The swells were very large. We didn't really have any good weather until the next to last day (it was a 10-day cruise).
On our second transatlantic, the weather was perfect. Nice and sunny, normal outside activities. This one was in late September.
My point is......the weather can be very unpredictable in the north Atlantic. There's really no way to predict what sort of weather you might have during the crossing.
