Thanks for the link, I don't think you are allowed free speech, taking things in his own hand resulted in him being asked to leave the ship. I bet he would not do it again.
He should mind his own business and enjoy the cruise.
He would of enjoyed more time of table tennis with his son if he did not hand out flyers.

I have no sympathy for this cruiser. I never pay any attention to to the art auctions. Some friends of ours are happy with the art that they bought.
As for me I just go and enjoy my cruises, take in all the shows, do some tours, have some wine with my dinner and some drinks in the evening. Like my maternal grandmother taught me live and let live.

No sympathy from me. Sounds like he was more intent on being a busy body than enjoying a cruise. Maybe he'll learn his freedom to as he damn well pleases doesn't necessarily extend beyond the borders of the U.S.
Wow, I wonder if ther actually are any issues with the paintings. I never went to the auctions, but the guy was messing with RCCL's profit margin, I think they barely break even on cruise tickets, so I'm not surprised.

I've gone to some art auctions onboard and bought a few very nice pieces from Park West. Sometimes I'd rather just sit and read a book then go have free champagne; it's my decision to do so. But to have some nutcase distribute flyers like that.... sorry, no pity from me.
I just don't get why some feel it is their "duty" to tinker and involve themselves with things they really know absolutely nothing about. Stick to table tennis.
He didn't fabricate what he distributed. I don't believe those "art" auctions are legit but I've worked for an auctioneer some time ago and know the games they play.
He took a chance and somehow I believe he knew exactly what he was doing and had a goal in mind when he did it.

41 cruises - too many to list however cruiselines are in no particular order:
Azamara
Uniworld
RCL
Princess
NCL
HAL
Cunard
Celebrity
and some unknown tub
He talks about his rights being violated (to paraphrase...)
Hmmm....uh, i don't think that the standard rights under the US constitution pertain to a foreign flagged carrier....
whatever, he deserved it....
granted, i haven't been to an art auction, and the so called free piece of art i "won" was placed in the circular file.....
that said, on our cruise on CCL Pride, they had a cute painting of a few goldfish swimming....don't ask me why, but i thought it was neat. Not that it will ever hang in my living room, but it was less ugly than most! almost like a photo (although Finding Nemo came to mind!)
Regardless of borders, I think everybody would like to be treated like an "American" on a cruise ship. But the ship is private property, just like a building, and you can be expelled from a building on US soil the same way. He may know very well what he is talking about but he took a risk and it's his problem.

If people want to go to these art auctions, and spend their money on the prints it is their right also. This guy got want he wanted; his fifteen minutes of fame.
Unbelievable. I can't imagine anyone behaving in this manner NOT being surprised when asked to leave. Absolutely no sympathy from me either and I'm a collector of fine art. I had no idea Park West had these lawsuits pending but its not surprising. You can't be too careful when purchasing art and unfortunately, many are duped by large volume galleries ... even on land.
I have friends who enjoy going to theart auctions, and they have the right to go. If someone does not like those events, just stay away.

Royal Caribbean should have known better!! This story was going to get WAYYYYY more press by kicking him off rather than asking him to cease and desist. He got involved where he shouldn't have, but what he distributed was true unlike the BS they feed people at art auctions.
