Upgrade from Cat E2 to Junior Suite

I just changed fro E2 to JS on the Independence. Aside from size is there anything else I will notice or benefit from ?

A tub and an extra cruise credit with "RCI."

There is (or was in the JS we had on AOS) a walk in closet.

The extra room is nice, and as I recall, the balcony is larger. Ours had a small lounger in addition to the 2 chairs and small table.

I was wondering if there was reserved seating in the theater, pool & priority for room service?

Sorry but no. If it's any consolation, we travel in full suites quite often and we have yet to see the "priority seating" arrangements they are promoting on their website and to us as Travel Agents. I plan to ask exactly where the availability is provided on my next cruise later this month.

When we had the JS, we did get priority boarding in that there was a special line for those with suites.

A RCCL person was walking down the line for check in just sort of making sure everybody had stuff ready for when they hit the desk. She noticed we had a JS and took us to another much shorter line where we were through in minutes.

This was in San Juan, so I can only speak for that port.

As for anything else special, we didn't have any.

I have noticed (and appreciated) better attention to the room with regards to stewards. The attentiveness to detail can't be denied!

Priority seating is for Grand suite and higher, so a JS doesn't get that. However the rooms are bigger and the tub is nice. You do get the extra cruise credit and priority boarding. When just me amd my hubby go we get the JS and an OS when we have the kids. The decor is usually the same as the other rooms but if I remember correctly you get chocolate covered strawberries or similar on the formal nights.
