[We are staying in the Doubletree hotel in Carson the night before our cruise out od Long Beach. I am hoping we can go look around before boarding but wonder what to do with the bags once we check out of the hotel. Any suggestions of what to do between noon and 5pm sailing? Thanks
You can usually leave them at the hotel. The majority of hotels have a lock up where they keep guests bags for just such occassions. We have done exactly that many times.
What time does your ship sail? You don't want to leave it too late.
I would suggest you check out of the hotel and go to the ship. You can usually board by 11:30.
That is exactly what we allways do. We get up have breakfast and go to the ship.

Well, you've posted to the Royal Caribbean boards, so if you're sailing on Mariner, you will be sailing out of San Pedro, not Long Beach. You need to be checked in by 3:30, 90 minutes prior to your sailaway.
If you do not have a rental car, then your options are pretty limited. Carson is an industrial town, so there really isn't much to see or do there. My first thought is that you should change your hotel - perhaps the Doubletree in San Pedro, which is a very nice property. Or stay in Long Beach, which has lots of fun things you can do in the morning.
But if you're going to stay in Carson, you could just head to the pier and check your bags. You could then go for a stroll around the waterfront, take a cab over to Long Beach and go to the Aquarium and other sights. Just make sure you're back no later than 3:00 to complete the checkin process.
Or you could get onboard and start enjoying your cruise, which is what I would probably do.
All times are GMT -4. The time now is 11:28 PM.
