Vancouver to Hawaii

8/20/09 Thinking of booking the Sept. 2010 cruise out of Vancouver on RC ship sailing to Hawaii. We plan on a 2 day precruise stay. Has anyone taken this cruise? How were the ports? What to do and where to stay in Vancouver?
Thanks

If you can give more info you probably will get given ideas.

1 - Vancouver is a great city for doing things. You can be on top of a mountain in the morning and walking the beach in thr afternoon.

2 - Good selection of hotels (from inexpensive to very posh)

3 - Transit will take to you to most attractions in the city and area.

4 - Canada line (train from airport to downtown) just opened for sevice.

Other people fro Vancouver will have more ideas.

Since we are flying from the east coast and doing this only once, we are trying to determine if booking 2 nights stay in Vancouver is enough to see the main attractions. We are looking for a Holiday Inn or Mariott type priced hotel in a convenient to attractions yet safe area of Vancouver. Has anyone taken the cruise with RC from this port. Did you let RC select the hotel for you? Where did you stay? I was given a thread to view some comments that should also help. Any suggestions are appreciated.

You could spend 5 days in Vancouver and not see every thing.
A visit to Stanley Park could take all day . You could take a day trip
to Victoria (better to overnight) .
Sept is usually good weather with warm days and cool nights.
There are hotels in the downtown section of Vancouver to cover all budgets.
There are also B&B (bed and Breakfast's) in many parts of Vancouver.
