Anyone used the Newark Airport Airtrain to get into Manhattan?
Need to get to Hotel New Yorker, it is at Penn Station by Madison Sq Gdns.
Is is one train ride? Need to change? approx cost? Thanks
It is one train ride and takes approximately 25-30 minutes.
Adult One Way $15.00
Child/Senior/Disabled One Way $11.25*
Service is quite frequent. Be aware that these trains have other stops and may be crowed with commuters headed to Manhattan during the morning rush hour.

I guess I am a bit confused. Is the Airtrain just the airport's people moving system between terminals, like a monorail? I thought it was the train that took you into Manhattan, but you are saying that we need to get on the NJ Transit system at the airport (EWR) and go to Penn Station...? correct?
I ride the NJ Transit everyday. The train to and from the airport is not the train that will take you into the city. The train from the airport is more of a tram that will take you to a connecting train that will take you into NY Penn Station so; 2 trains.. NJ Transit to Newark Liberty ( I think that's the station stop ), then you cross over and wait for the train to the airport.

This needs a bit of clarification. You do have to take the tram that goes between terminals and the train station. It is only a few minutes depending on the terminal you board it at. It is similar to many other airports trams.
