As long as we have people who love to cruise, one ship cannot ruin the cruise industry.

The Oasis might help the cruise industry by generating more excitement.

No reason Oasis would hurt the cruise industry. Those cruisers that love big ships will enjoy Oasis and Allure.

Cruiseships have come a long way and there are now many options in ship sizes and amenities. There is a cruiseship out there for everyone!

I think there are two kinds of cruisers, the ones that look at the boat as a mode of transportation and those who look at the ship as a destination.

I enjoy some of both. However if and when we want to visit a place we usually to it because a cruise vacation does not give you enough time to enjoy any foreign country. In the last 10 years we have driven and have taken trains in Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Spain and Portugal. On our last trip to Hawaii we stayed 8 nights.

Those things you can't do on a cruise.

However, we enjoy cruising because of it'is a very relaxing vacation. We love the entertainment and meeting other crusers. I am looking forward to sail on the Oasis because it will be a very unique and exciting ship.

back in the old days...the prevailing marketing theory was to take a cruise to get a "taste of the island" with hopes that you would return in the form of a land vacation and spend an extended period there

with the high repeat business, the focus has to be on the ship and onboard activities because most cruisers who have been to the island more then twice, will only get of the ship for a quick walk and shopping and then get back on and will want to be entertained and be encouraged to spend their money onboard
