Default Labadee - snorkeling?

Is there snorkeling from the shore in Labadee? like Coco Cay?

Is it any good?

I once did a shore excursion that took you to an island off
the coast and the snorkeling was great. They then returned you
to Labadee or the ship.

We snorkeled there with our stuff. It was ok, cloudy. There was a small plane that was there and along the rocks were interesting. We had much better snorkling in other ports. We did this on the beach where the ship was. The other side of the island was rough, I don't know about that, if it was recommended. I don't know if there were tours for other places. It gave us something to do other than lay on the beach. We were there in September, so the time of year might have things to do with it. If you want great snorkeling, I would probably take a tour if they offer the one you were on before. If you just want to take it slow and not spend money then the beach is ok.

Snorkeling was much better at Coco Cay. Lots of other things you can do in Labadee.. The waverunner excursion is a blast, may-be look into that. They now have a roller coaster ride and a zip line, although I've not done that there yet...

Tks for your help...I was in Coco Cay last week. Snorkeling was
pretty good...we saw a good number of fish.

It's been awhile since I've been to Labadee and just don't remember..
other than the excursion I took that I dont think they offer any more.
At least it wasn't included in the excursions listed for Labadee.

Did you take your own snorkeling stuff or do they have it to use there. Going in April and would love to snorkel. I always took my own, but not much room this time.

I took my own mask, as I prefer it, but rented vest and fins. They
have a great set up and not too expensive. Tide was coming
in, so there was enough water...

We thoroughly enjoyed our day at Coco Cay...delicious Coco Locos!!

Leaving Sunday on the Freedom...hoorah!
