Hand Sanitizers?
We are going on the Mariner OTS in a few weeks (YIPEE!!).
I am wondering if RCI has the hand sanitizing stations outside the dining rooms and other places again - now that the H1N1 is so much in the news? On one of our cruises - they had them everywhere. The next 2 cruises we took - they didn't have them anywhere. So I'm just wondering if they are now back to using them? I always pack plenty - but since we have a group of 12 rooms, I'd like to give the others a "heads up" if at all possible. |
We just got back from the Adventure and they did have the hand sanitizers. They were stationed just inside all the food areas and in the bathrooms. From what I understood they are fleetwide because of the H1N1 flu worries.

Please be aware that hand sanitizers do NOT kill the H1N1 or any flu. The flu (all of them) are a virus. Hand sanitizers do not kill a virus. Just wash your hands as much as possible. Also a good idea (always) to carry one of those small travel size cans of Lysol and spray your cabin once you arrive BEFORE you unpack. Let the spray sit for ten minutes. Focus the spray on things you would touch with your hands, door handles, faucet, remote control, toilet flush handle. Just anf FYI because I am nurse and confirmed germophobe. Just keep washing your hands and you will be fine.

I certainly agree about washing your hands however hand sanitizers that have over 60% alcohol content do help.

I brought a couple of those pen style sprayers, & they were great...

The original one I got was from CVS, then a nurse I know, gave me a couple, love em!

I have also seen them at both Walmart and Target they are sold in a pack of two usually by the checkout lanes. They are also refillable.

Thanks. I'll look for them next time I go over the river.
