Default Another cutback

We just returned from the Adventure (finally reached Diamond status...yea) There was no more commemorative gift from the Crown and Anchor Society. Asked our stateroom attendant and he said they have cut them. We have alot of the hats but had heard the canvas tote bags were back so was dissapointed, it was always a nice touch to return to room and find a gift. Had not heard this before we left so was surprised and am not sure when this change went into effect.

This started several weeks, if not months ago. We got ball caps in June but my understanding is they were using up the remaining inventory and when it ran out, that was it.

It started July 1 but for any ships who still had "stuff" it continued until they ran out.

Talking about cutbacks the winner of Karaoke Superstar got a tiny little trophy. The cruise director joked that it was solid gold because I think he was a little embarrassed to present it.

Little trophy? What were they giving out before the cutbacks a bigger trophy?

Usually the winners of pool games/karaoke gets a key chain or a medal.

But who cares if it a big trophy or little trophy particiating in the games is fun and that is what it is all about.

It's no big deal. I was happy with my certificate for making it to the finals and getting to sing in The Palace but I just thought the trophy looked a little skimpy.

The lady who won was really talented and sang her heart out. These trophies are made of plastic and are inexpensive, why not get one thats like ten to twelve inches high instead of three inches high.

This was an ongoing, week long competition that nine people out of about sixty made it to the finals and got to play the Palace. Save the keychains and tiny trophies for the belly floppers and sexy legs guys etc.

Again, not a big deal just thought I'd throw it out there

In my opinion RCL is showing a lack of respect to it's clients. I have received one of those tiny little trophies at work once from the director of our department. It was made of plastic and bought by the dozen. Cost is less than a nickle each. While he was standing there I said 2 things - you must be broke so you can keep it and get your nickle back and if you don't want to do that just pitch it. I have no where to keep something that tacky. He couldn't fire me because I'm union.

That's my opinion of those tacky little pieces of crap. I would rather see nothing as that kind of tacky.

The bags and strawberries are back. There were too many complaints. Siestabea
