Default Question about the Diamond Lounge

Do diamond members still get complimentary cocktails in the Diamond Lounge on freedom class ships during those special hours or is it the 25% off crap?

Thanks

since nobody has responded to you yet with current info, I will tell you what I know. I was on the Freedom in April and there was the same open bar , but I think now the wine and champagne is free and mixed drinks are 25% off.

We are Diamond members and we just came off the Freedom on Sunday. All the drinks in the Diamond lounge are FREE.

Yes, it is odd but on ships with a stand-alone Diamond Lounge all bar orders are complimentary but on ships where they have a "Diamond Event" they will charge 75% for beer, soda, liquor, and only offer wine (and champagne) for no fee.

Also - on the RCI website it now says only one drink at a time will be served to each customer at the Diamond lounges or the Diamond event.

On Freedom/Oasis class ships the Diamond lounge is business as usual.

Manuel, you have been on Liberty and Solstice, I am trying to decide which to do for my next cruise. I am diamond on RC but thinking about straying, no real complaints about RC just curious. My wife and I are in our 40's not big party animals but were not dead either. We've sailed Princess and it was a little too slow for us. Any comments you can offer?

Thanks

Woody, when we sailed on the Solstice, there was plenty to do. The shows were great and we stayed up till 2AM on most evenings. The food and service were excellent.

If you check the daily events I'm sure that you will find something to enjoy.

I love Celebrity and will book another cruise on them soon.

We are doing a few Royal cruises because we want to do the megaships while we are still young enough to enjoy them.

Once you are diamond it's worth sticking with Royal or Celebrity. We are Elite on Celebrity.

IF you book Celebrity be sure to tell them that you are diamond on Royal.

Of course you might find Celebrity a bit more slow pace than Royal, but it is worth giving it a try.

Diamond members drink from 5-8:30 on freedom class and oasis class ships. there is an additional lounge which diamond plus members also have access to. Siestabea
