Default Cruise Newbies

Hello. My partner and I plan to go on the Oasis of The Seas cruise in September for my Big-Five-O celebration. This will be the Eastern Caribbean cruise and the first cruise for the both of us. We are both very excited and canít wait to go but, I have two questions: (1) will September be a good time to go to the Bahamas? Iím not sure what type of weather conditions to expect during that month. (2) Regardless of when we go and there happens to be inclement weather, and we book an excursion which is cancelled due to the weather, do we get a refund? We are planning on going to the Atlantis Resort for the excursion. Any replies, suggestions, recommendations or just plain Helloís will be appreciated!

You are going to be travelling during hurricane season. That's something one has no control over of course, but we've travelled in September several times and never run into a problem. (knock on wood). It certainly will be warm/hot though.

As for your question about excursions, if you book an excursion through the ship and it has to be cancelled you will get your money refunded. However if you are going to book a private excursion (which we always do) you should make sure it can be cancelled without penalty.
Dec. 13 - Windstar sailing yacht. Wonderful!!

Just completed - Celebrity Reflection, Nov. 22 (learning to sail solo) followed by Independence of the Seas Nov. 30.

44 cruises - too many to list however cruiselines are in no particular order:

and some unknown tub

Yes, I'm a Royal Chump and proud of it.

Thanks Felix! The hot weather won't be an issue. Hopefully Mother Nature will cooperate with us and not spoil the celebration.

You sure picked a great ship for a cruise. As long as there is no major weather issues, the temps should be wonderful. Yes, if for any reason they have to cancel an excursion, you will get a refund.

I have done the tour at Atlantis, and it was well worth the $, amazing aquarium and grounds.
