Default Bad Food on Independence of the Seas

I've been reading alot of bad reviews of the lousy food on the Independendence and was wondering if others experienced the same on this ship. Hoping we didn't make a mistake booking on this ship.

Food is extremely subjective and what one person may think is fabulous the next person says it's awful.

If you are looking for top of the line food on RCL - you are going to be disappointed. The term I hear most frequently is "banquet food". I would have to agree with that.

From a personal perspective, I think the food on RCL has gone down a lot over the last number of years. I know a lot of people won't agree with me.

In my opinion the yin and yang of RCI ships,is......book the newsest, biggest, most fabulous, ships to date.........BUT, don't expect the best food at sea.

For the past several years, this has been the issue many cruisers have had...the food. There are many dining options of course, and, you will never go hungry, to be sure. As mentioned, food is the most subjective topic....I may hate that ranch steak, but,you may love it I think it's a trade off I would take....

Hi Croner,
I too have to agree, someone may find a meal just not to their liking, and you may love it. There are so many different items on any menu, always something to like. Your waiter will also give you his honest opinion on what's good that evening, just ask...

I have only been on 1 cruise, LOS, but here is my 2 cents worth. I am getting waited on and I don't have to cook or clean up the mess so when this happens I am 1 happy cruiser! But of course I thought the food was good on the Liberty. I may think differently when I sail on the Independence this March. I don't think I am qualified to judge just yet, I am just looking forward to sailing out on the sea and being pampered by the staff.
