Great Bay Beach in St Marteen

Does anyone know if this beach is polluted or is it safe for swimming?

Not sure about Great Bay beach but have been to both Orient beach and Divi Little Bay beach. Both were great beaches, Orient is more adult oriented while Divi is a great family beach with all the ammenities and close to the pier.

OOPS! My bad. Grape Bay Beach is on Bermuda...a far finer and more beautiful island than St. Maarten, IMO.

I highly recommend Maho Beach near the airport. We just got back from a Freedom cruise last Sunday. We wasted money on the Segways on the board walk in the morning and then took a taxi to Maho Beach in the afternoon. Fantastic. Very good bar (Sunset or Sunshine Bar) Not sure of the name. You can go get sand blasted by a plane taking off, or if you are lucky, watch a 747 fly 100 feet over your head. The beach is great and the water is great. Waves break late so you can be in 5 feet of water not far off shore and bob with the waves. Didn't go anywhere else, but I can say Maho Beach is worth the trip. Bar is cheap too.
