Kennedy Space Center VIP Tour?
Sailing on Freedom of the Seas the week of 2/21/10 and was interested in the Kennedy Space Center VIP Tour after the cruise, which then drops you off at the airport.

Has anyone done this tour before? Is it worth the $80? What time do you leave the ship and what time do you leave/arrive at the airport? Our flight is not until after 5pm; but just wondering.

We (six people) went to the Kennedy Space Center as an excursion after our Mariner cruise in 2007. We booked it the night before on the ship because we had a later flight (4:30). The excursion was awesome and we are still talking about how cool it was. I would say it is definately worth the money to go. You get to see more booking it with the ship than if you went there yourself. I believe we left the ship around 7-7:30 you have special colored luggage tags and meet in an assigned room onboard to go through customs. The tour is guided and they give you plenty of time for lunch (not included) it seems like we got to the airport around 2:30.

Sounds good, looking forward to it. My flight was scheduled to depart at 5:30PM; which the airline just changed to a 7PM we'll be sitting at the airport for a while. Lucky I have access to the Delta Crowne Room - that will help pass the time. Thanks!

We have done the Kennedy Space twice. If you have the time rent a car in Cocoa beach and do the center on your own time.;)
