Default Cruise Start Date Sat VS Sun

Hi, I have been on several cruises with RCCL. I am looking at booking for next year; however when I look at the Dates for Dec 2011, most of the cruises start on Sunday. Has this changed recently? I have always started on a Saturday-Saturday. Just curious if RCCL has actually realeased the Dec 2011 dates or they are speculating. Thanks for any answers.

Are you looking at Carribbean cruises? It may have something to do with the Oasis and Allure sailings although I'm guessing at that. It may also just be the way they designed them on the basis of past experience. Are more people sailing on Sat than Sun?

However I would be curious to know if there is a reason for this.

When we took our first cruise 5 years ago it was a Sunday departure out of Miami. Since then, most of the sailings I've seen have been Sunday departures.

The Serenade departs on Saturdays from San Juan. The Oasis also has a Saturday departure out of Florida.

RCCL has released some sailings for December 2011. The Southern Caribbean itineraries have not been released though.
