Default Thats right...

Thats right, I am coming over to the dark side. I have been a loyal Carnival passenger for the last several years and have decided to try out RCCL. My mom and I will be taking the Monarch out of PC in June...I will let y'all know how it goes.

We have cruised on RCL three times and we enjoyed them all so much that I have another one booked.

Why do you call it the dark side?

lol I called it the dark side as I have always thought of Carnival as the best cruise option, so I am going against my own theories and trying them out!

I have sailed on Carnival and I have sailed on RCL.

I prefer RCL, and have my 4th. cruise booked with them.

I see you have booked Monarch of the Seas; welcome to Royal Caribbean; since I have never cruised on any line but Royal I can not give you my opinion. I go by the saying if it isn't broke don't try to fix it. Have always had a wonderful experience on Royal ships, and that's why I have booked a family cruise with them for next year.
Cheers,

I actually think you'll enjoy Royal Carribean...Just keep in mind the older RCL ships have small cabins, but you really aren't in your cabin that much, sleep, shower and change of clothes...

Have a great time.

Thanks for the support guys! This will be a whole new world of cruising for me and I am looking forward to it. Donna, Thanks for the advice on the small cabins, I did notice the sq feet comparision (CCL 186 vs RCCL 122) but like you pointed out we won't be there...at all! This is a mother daughter get away from it all cruise, no work, no kids (well except I am her only child lol) and no husbands! Can't wait...only 2 week and 3 days left!!

We are with you, CB7. I have been on five Carnival cruises and my wife has been on seven. In five days we are leaving on our first RCCL cruise. We are going on the Oasis on May 29. We are normally balcony people but I talked my wife into trying one of Oasis' unique "inside" balconies. Looking forward to it...Gazelle2
