Need Help Hilo Waterfall/Cave and Lagoon Trekking

We are 110 days out from Hawaii Cruise. Doing the review of the ships excursions. This is a Tendered port. Thinking it might be easier to book through cruise line. We are considering the Waterfall/Cave/Lagoon Treeking excursion. Has anyone done this excursion and how does it compare to other excursions on Hilo. We enjoy natural beauty, history and swimming. Do you recommend any other excursions on this island instead of the treeking tour?

My experience in Hawaii is that you can book almost any excursion once you get inside onshore - whether it is a tender port or not does not matter.

There is still be a landibng area for the tenders and plenty of tour guides will be set up there to offer you all kinds of tours.

The island of Hawaii hass all kinds of cool volcano-related sightseeing. personally I would opt for a helicopter tour, but at the leats I would want to do something volcano related.

I have gotten the impression that the vol.tour is not recommended for someone with resp. problems. According to the excursion on RC, the air gets thin and there could be some difficulty breathing with the sulfur. This has made me reconsider any Volcano tour. As for flying, I don't think I can get in a helicopter.
