Default allure dec 2010 bahamas time correct ?

This sounds stupid but I am going to ask it anyway because for us it is important. On the website it says Nassau from 7 -1 so 6 hours in port
But if I check later dates it says Nassau from 7 -2 1 hour more and I can use that 1 hour extra
We would love to do the Stuart Cove shark/snorkel trip but we will not make it in time if the ship leaves at 1 pm
I am desperate seeking for another snorkel trip ( decent one not a cattle ship not a booze trip but a good snorkel trip ) but they all exceed the time table.
What confuses me the most is that RCI offers excursions for 7 hours (Atlantis ) how can that be possible with only 6 hours in port and I presume we have to be back at the ship half an hour before departure
should I call RCI or my travel agent and ask them if they can give us the real time staying at Nassau ?
I would love to go with Stuart Cove or maybe to the Exumas if we should have the time but I am affraid booking something that is not possible

( I missed this trip 2 years ago because I did not calculate the timedifference between ship's time and the Bahamas and I hope not to make the same mistake again )

thank you all for your time and advise
good night from Belgium
Frieda

You could call RCI and see if their rez agents have anything different. They may have a reason for having to cut it short by one hour. They arn't going to change it for a passenger.

You didn't say exactly what date in December?

December 12th and yes I know they will not stay longer in port for us
but again they offer excursions on this cruise, to book and prepay online that last for 7 hours that is why I am confused about the time
port from 7 till 1 not enough time for their excursions either
thanks for your response
have a great day

I just looked at the TA site and it also says 7 - 1. I would assume that the online excursion booking would not accept if the times don't match. Certainly is weird. There is nothing to indicate why the change for that date.

December 27th also says 7 - 1. It is also 7 - 1 for the January sailings.

I think in this case, I'd book an excursion offered by the ship with that time frame??

Bermuda time is Atlantic Daylight Time (ADT) -0300 UTC thats 4hours more from where I live in California... I'd follow that

Their daylight savings is...

Daylight Saving Time begins at 2 a.m. (local time) on the second Sunday of March.
Time reverts to Standard Time at 2 a.m. (local time) on the first Sunday of November.

If you are afraid, then I would follow Donna's advice Book it onboard, that way you know RCI won't leave dock without you...

I just have sent a mail to RCI and am very curious about how they explain
their time in port from 7 - 1
One of the excursions they offer ( booking directly through the secured line )
is Atlantis ultimate tour which is very very expensive ( 299 usd/person ) and Tour description says "departure 9 am tour lasts for 7 hours " how is that possible ? They would be back on board at 4 pm ??????????
Suppose I am willing to pay that kind of money and they cut the tour in 3 or 4 hours to be back on board arround noon ,Think a lot of people would not like this
it all does not make any sense
hope RCI will answer my mail

thanks everyone for your time

Let me know what Royal says; am curious as to how many shore excursions they change due to the time in port.
