Default Oasis vs. allure

Just curious, we want to book a cruise on either of the 2 new ships- went on oasis last year and expected oasis to be cheaper than allure but it's more- any reason why ?Any advice would be helpful- we would like to go in Feb. as we did last year. Thank you!

I read somewhere that Oasis was the flagship of the fleet, so Royal would not be discounting it for awhile; I am on Allure and my stateroom is cheaper than if I booked Oasis; I am sailing in Jan.

I have sailed on the Oasis and my next cruise is on the Allure.

You can't go wrong with either ship.

I found the same thing for the time frame I was booking (late Jan 2011), but then realized that Allure was going to Western Caribbean (Haiti and Mexico) whereas Oasis was going to Eastern Caribbean (St. Thomas, Nassau, St. Maarten). I think the price is higher because these ports are simply more expensive - maybe it costs more for the ships to access them, too. Keep in mind that although Oasis is older, it's still barely a year old and is a virtually identical to Allure (less the Starbucks!).
