Default Vision of the Seas

Looking for input on this line and ship. Have cruised a lot but not RCI.

Looking at Repositioning cruise from Lisbon to Sao Paulo.

What is the opinion of cruisers about this ship and this particular cruise?

Ths price they show for a Grand Suite or Balcony seems very low.

Just sailed on Vision in July through the Baltics. She's obviously an older ship and will have more wear and tear than you would find on a brand new ship; however, the crew does a great job at keeping her in check and up to par. I sailed in a Grand Suite and the view from the living area is amazing, really would strongly recommend that cabin. Food was good overall; I wouldn't hesitate to sail on her again. As a side note, I've sailed on almost every ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet, the line does provide a consistent service and feel to their cruises.

I sailed on Vision of the Seas two times last year (Baltic and Norwegian coast). She had a very good crew and they made you feel at home.
The main restaurant had very good food, actually the best I have experienced on any RCI ship.
Windjammer (buffet) on the other hand was "only" OK.
There are no specialty restaurants onboard, which can be a drawback.
Not as much to do onboard as on RCI's bigger ships, but it feels more like a "true" ship.

What strikes one most are all the windows which give nice views of the sea. The atrium is a nice place.

Default Thanks everyone for the info

One more question.
Looking at a GS and can't tell if the divider between cabins is solid so you have some privacy or is it only some other kid of divider?

Loved the photos

We did this "repositioning" cruise to Sao Paolo last year on the Vision and really enjoyed it...the major problem we had was the number of ignorant Portuguese and Brazilians on board!

What we did find was the crew/waiters really look after you...the waiters didn't like the Portuguese and Brazilians that much either and did tend to look after us more than them!

Don't get me wrong, there are some nice Portuguese and Brazilians but unfortunately, not many on this cruise!

The food in the buffet was also catered mainly for them and not the 150-200 Brits/Americans on board.

I'm sure you will enjoy it though, great cruise.
