We are going on the Oasis next May and have booked a hump cabin on deck 7. There are cabins above and below but above us are also the specialty restaurants. Is deck 7 good? We always book deck 9 but this ship is just so much larger and there is nothing available. There is the same cabin/category available on deck 12 but that is just farther from the dining rooms, casino and theather - etc. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

I don't think you'll have a problem with the restaurant, that should be pretty quiet by 10:00 and you are closer to where you want to be. Although being up on deck 12 is closer to the pool area and the buffet, so its really a hit or miss and depends on where you want to be on the ship.
Deck 7 shouldn't have any problems. We stayed on Deck 6 and it was perfect. Good location and never had an issue with noise. I love the hump cabins. In my opinion, I think it would be better than 12 because with 12 you'll feel further from everything...having to go down more floors for the dining room, the promenade, central park and shows.
Thank you for the replies! We were thinking the same thing about being closer to things, especially at night. The only plus we thought of being so high would be the view but I think that would be minor. Thanks again!!
