Just back from Radiance with 3 cabins booked by our family. We had
2 good adjoining cabins 7044 and 7042..we had extra large balconies with
good view of water below us. But our son and daughter-in-law were
in 7050 and their balcony cabin was awful...just below them was a canopy
or roof about 10'wide, so that they could only see the water beyond the roof.
As we'll be on the sister ship, Serenade next Sept, I was wondering if there is a similar structure obscuring water view from deck 7 cabins
7050 to 7090...and 7550 to 7590.
If you've actually been in these cabins on deck 7, please let me know.
Or if you've been in cabins directly aft from elevator bank starting
with 7115 and 7616, is there a similar roof?
Want to book, but TA or RCI has not been helpful with full
descriptions of view with these cabins.
The 4 Radiance class sisters all have those canopies covering the lifeboats so be sure to pull up the deck plans for deck 6 if booking deck. It is part of the reason for the pricing difference in the "E" categories so a quick "cheat" is to look at the E-1 category first. I am a BIG fan of the D-2 if the pricing is close and then you have more room and don't have to worry about deck 7 views. I have almost 20 actual cruises (not credits) on this class of ship so let me know if you have any follow-up questions, Robbie
Thanks Robbie...we're just going to avoid deck 7 or else book foward
cabins with the larger balconies. Will check those D cabins, too.
The RCI deck plans do not show the lifeboats at all, or at least I couldn't
find them. Anyway it won't deter us from the Serenade.
