Allure-12 Days to Cross The Atlantic
I wonder why it is taking Allure 12 Days to cross the Atlantic...I know it cannot cruise at the speed of the Queen Mary 2, but still 12 days is a long time......Do the engines need to be broken in??

Not sure about the engines. Remember that it left from Finland so the first 3-4 days were just getting to the Atlantic, so it is really only taking about 8 days to cross. I know from the daily videos that they aren't going full speed anymore they have a specific time to be in port and have slowed down to time it just right.

They took their time making sure the engines were running ok; they slowed down to let Hurricane Tomas pass by.
|
They also use this time to refine the ships' staff, conduct training, allow the production shows to perform dress rehearsals, open all the dining venues for test runs, etc....it's very well planned.

They have penty of time! My cruise is not until Jan 16th. LOL LOL LOL
