Unless it's changed since September, they furnish bar soap for the sink and shower and shampoo in a dispenser in the shower.
Personally I think they are very adequate for bathing and shampooing. Unless you're into the top of the line soaps and shampoos, you should be happy.

Horrid is a bit over the top, it's basically pan teen pro v in a dispenser. If you're in a suite they give you upgraded little bottles of some French soap. Also diamond members get the upgraded soaps as well.

Just depends on what you're used to. Panteen is also commonly used as dog shampoo. We're accustomed to Olive Oil soaps.

La Di Da,

I think it is fine, it cleans, has a good sent, and you don't have to worry about it spilling in your luggage.

"La Di Da"?

lol

I presume then you think using a chemical based soap filled with lye is better for your family than a natural, olive oil based soap?

There's nothing uppity about knowing the difference about that, it's just a personal choice and one I happen to think is smart.

If all you're concerned about is whether you can properly pack soap without it spilling, and you're not particularly discerning about smelling like you washed in dog shampoo, then yes! It works just fine!

Cruizer1, as I had previously posted on this,I think the soap / shampoo furnished by the cruise lines are fine--the only problem is that since I've now found out it's dog soap and shampoo, I now know why, that at the most inopportune times, I've gotten that uncontrollable urge to drop down on my rear and start scratching my ears or head with my right foot !! Always embarrassed the heck out of my wife!! !
I'm sure in the future she'll take different soap and shampoo for me !!

lol at Ron!

I think the "quality" varies by ship, and deck.

We've use the Royal bath products in the past and found them to be quite acceptable. On our last cruise, Grandeur, whatever they supplied was quite basic.

DH has started using the showers at the gym ... there is more room, and there were a few more toiletries.

If I am doing a 5 nt or less, and packign in carryons, I need all the space I can get and will just use whatever the ship supplies. But if I have room in my suitcase, I take my own, especially conditioner.

Well at least now when you're in the dog house you'll feel more at home.

Default Dog Shampoo sound great

I have little Yorkies (3 and 7lbs) and I find it easiest to shower with them. Yorkies have to be washed once a week or they smell. . They use the same Shampoo and Conditioner that I use and it is not cheap. I guess I'll be right at home with RC soap and conditioner. I am traveling to Europe for 15 days (7 day cruise) and I don't need the extra weight in my suitcase and I don't want to chance it opening in my suitcase. I know how to pack but I have had soap explode in the cargo before -- it can be a mess.

You do need to bring your own cream rinse. The shampoo was fine for me and it's one more thing you don't have to pack. Have fun...
