Ahoy! Me Again! Anyone been on Oasis E. Carib. lately?
What's the deal on "Formal Nights" anyway? What happens? Do I really need a suit? sports jacket? a tie!!??
Somewhere I found a schedule of which nights are Formal, Smart Casual and Casual for our sailing - March 26 , but now I can't find it . Anyone know where I'd find that "official" schedule?
Generally, formal nights are help on days at sea - one at the beginning of the trip and the other at the end.
A suit of any kind is fine - even a blazer with matching pants (not even a suit) is fine, with a collared shirt. You should have a necktie but many people will not have one.
If you don't want to dress up you can opt to eat in the buffet area or one of the other casual restaurant on the boardwalk like Rita's Cantina or Johnny Rockets. or order room service.

Thanks Paul. I'm not trying to be funny here, but I'm useless at fashion...
is like, a black blazer & grey or tan pants OK?
Also, does anything special happen on formal nights? Or just a chance for all hands to get gussied-up? Thanks.
It is a dying tradition but the lines do make quite a few bucks from all the dress-up photos so I don't think they are ready to place that last nail in the coffin.
