Default Port Canaveral

When I get there to go on my first cruise on RCCL will there be signs as to where I have to go? And will there be a buffet on the ship before sailing off? From where I am dropped off (by Hertz shuttle) is it near the door? How far to go until I get to the ship? Sorry for all the questions, but this is my first cruise with RCCL.

The rental car shuttle will drop you off at the main entrance to the cruise terminal; tell the shuttle which ship you are sailing and they will drop you off at that terminal. There is a buffet onboard; once you check in and get your seapass; just ask where the buffet is, and someone will tell you.

Canaveral is likely the easiest port to get into even if you drive to it. You'll get your first glimpse of the ships in port as you go over the bridge. Look to your left. Once you are dropped at the door, follow the people ahead of you, they are likely following someone too.

I'm booked on her in October for a 3 night. When you get back, I look forward to hearing what you have to say about her.

Yes, Yes, and Yes, just get there early enough to eat lunch. I think around 2pm or maybe a bit earlier, there is the muster drill (safety drill), and this is MANDATORY. It is an evacuation drill. You must be in your cabin and get your life vests and gather to your assigned lifeboat boarding location. I'm on this cruise 4/15. Seems I'm barely missing the other forum members here.
