Welcome to Cruisemates CM and to the wonderful world of cruising.
Be sure to get into the first time cruisers here and read everything you can...If you have any questions, feel free to post them here. I too am hoping to cruise on Allure, I hear many great things about this ship, lots to do and see.
New to cruising, My wife and I are sailing 5/15 on Allure of the Seas
As first timers, any suggestions?
make sure you access your reservation on the website and book your entertainment and any optional dining you may want. Don't miss the Ice Show and have a blast !
Welcome to the family! Reseaching our website will give you volumes of information, and you can't underestimate how important it is to know before you go.
A friend of my husband just came home from the Allure, and had some comments, to which I said...he has no one to blame but himself, for his issues. This is what he was not happy with.
He booked a cabin overlooking Central Park...he thought quiet, and got noise.
For some reason, and I don't get it, he didn't know, or forgot to book his entertainment, so they floundered at night.
These 2 problems didn't have to happen...
Have fun planning, and, ask away..we are here to help!

I sailed Allure in Jan. Here are a few tips for you.
Jogging track is located on Deck 5; it goes all the way around the ship. In the back of the ship on deck 5 there are some lounge chairs for sunbathing. It is nice and quiet back there. The boardwalk is on deck 6. There are two balconies on either side of the boardwalk. These balconies offer nice views of the ocean and aquatheater. Behind the aquatheater is the shuffleboard court. There are free ice cream machines located on sports deck inside wipe out cafe; also there is ice cream between the two pools; this machine u will have to look for; because u can miss it. Free coffee/ice tea/flavored water is offered in the following venues:
Windjammer
Solarium Bistro
Wipeout Cafe
Central Park Cafe
Not to miss shows on Allure:
AquaTheater show:Oceanaria
Blue Planet:Cirque Soliel type show
Ice Show:
**these shows are by reservations; if u don't have reservation, show up to the venue 15 min prior to the show; u will most likely get in.

My wife and I took are first cruise last Month it was a blast! Just a couple things we learned Get the travel insurance, leave a day early if at all possable,And if you have any questions you can find the answers right here. On are first cruise we were to fly down the same day that same day Alaska air lines computers crashed. Missed the ships Should of left a day early a reason for travel insurance. All tho the air line flew us and pit us up in a motel until we met the ship. Have fun and dont let little things bother you.
Will do and some pictures too --My wife and I are excited--she always said I could go on a cruise with my next wife-----since she's been sick for the last 6 years, she has decided that all our vacations were based upon her ability or lack thereof to do things, that this would be my year and the cruise is kind of a Christmas present--along with severance package money when my job was lost--have a new one
Try the Dog House on the Boardwalk. They have great hot dogs and sausages. ( no charge).
Enjoy your cruise on the Allure. We had a blast.

Getting ready to go on my first cruise on November. Celebrity Reflection on the 18. Any comments on what to do, see or what to be aware of. Any suggestions on drink packages or activities are welcome.
Start at Barcelona then to Mallorca, Malaga, Tenerife and Miami. I hope can get info on best things to do and places to see. I'm just lost on what should I do.
