So tell me about Coco Cay?

We just got back as a family from Disney's Castaway Cay while doing a 7 day on the Disney Magic and it was the best part of our family vacation.

Now me and my 2 girlfriends in celebration of our 40th birthdays are thinking of a 3 night mini cruise on RC in March 2012 with one of the stops being Coco Cay. Is it as great as Castaway Cay - just a great place to chill out and relax?

Anything we should be aware of?

Thanks!
Melissa

Almost the same; u can chill out on the beach; relax in lounge chairs. they have buffett lunch; water sports, etc.

It is a lovely little beach island, where they filmed Blue Lagoon with Brooke Shield and way back, Giligans Island...Lots to do and you can also relax, get a nice BBQ lunch. I think you'll love it.

IIRC Castaway Bay has its own dock, but on RCCL you will need to tender in to Coco Cay.
Drink a Coco Loco for me. :D
I love it there, it's the most relaxing day of the cruise. If I knew how to put photos on here I would, but if you go to any of the photo sharing sites, flickr etc or You Tube, you will see lots of videos.

Other have hit most of the information you need. Tender in as opposed to docking, wonderful relaxing beach day, food and watersports. The part DW and I enjoy most is walking around to the backside of the island. It is much quieter there, and the lounge chairs are in one row as opposed to three to five rows deep when you first get on the island. Great beach day and I would love to stop there on each cruise! Enjoy

You will chillax here..take a good book, and soak up the sun. It's amazing how things have changed since I first went there. We wished there were loungers 5 rows deep. If you were not on an early tender, forget about lounging..our group searched, and found a wood bench! Ahhh progress:)

Really Donna? Gilligan's Island was filmed at what is now known as Coco Cay! Cool.

I checked the ever-reputable Wikipedia  and it says the island shots were of Coconut Island near Hawaii.
