Default Parking in For Lauderdale

Will be sailing on the Oasis of the Seas out of Fort Lauderdale. I know that the garage is limited. What time should we arrive to get a decent parking space? As I see it, you shouldn't arrive too early as departing passengers may not yet have vacated the parking deck, yetyou want to get there early enough to get a parking space so that you don't have to look for parking outside Port Everglades, miles from the ship (which has happened before).

If you arrive around 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. there will be plenty of parking spaces. By the time you get unloaded and walk across to the terminal it will be about time to board.

Take care,
Mike

When sailing on the Costa Atlantica in Dec 09, we got there well after 1pm. I forget exactly when ... but it wasn't "early" by any means. There was still plenty of parking in the garage for that terminal.

Now here's the kicker ... I actually left my driver's window rolled down by accident. Forgot to roll it up after showing the guard our IDs. It was very shocking when I got back after 7n. But nothing happened to the car or the interior. Other than being aired out nicely. :-p

We live apx 2 hrs from Ft. Lauderdale and leave our house about 11 or so. We usually get down there by 1 (but then again, we use the FL Turnpike, not I95). We have never had any problems parking in the lots across from the terminal. Hubby is particular about where he parks and we usually are on the end by a stairwell, 3rd or 4th level, although there are still some other spaces on lower levels at that time.
See you down there!
