I am taking a new-to-cruising friend on this cruise line next year, and we need some suggestions for excursions. We are both teenagers, so no adults-only areas. The ports-of-call are Nassau, Bahamas, Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, and Philipsburg, St. Maarten. What do you suggest?
You can spend the day at the Atlantis, at the Dig and Aquarium, great shopping and nice place to lunch.
In St Thomas, you can take the tram up to Paradise Point.Take the ferry from Red Hook over to St Johns, for great snorkeling. Go To Bluebeards Castle..shop till you drop.
St Maarten..take an island over to cover the Dutch and French side and enjoy the differences. Do the Americas Cup,for a fun day working at sea on a World Cup boat. Enjoy the Butterfly Farm, and shop

First of all, why do you need excursions when you're on the Allure?
Have you looked at the excursions listed on the RCCL website?
Keep in mind that you dock in Nassau at 7am and sail away at 3pm. Most posts I've read said that by the time Atlantis opens there is so little time left that you can't even fit in a complete tour.
There is also Orient beach in St. Maarten, easy cab ride from the pier. They have plenty of lounge chairs, restaurants/bars and water sports. I'be seen banana boats, parasailing and jet skis there...It's a huge beach, lots of fun and sun. There are also taxi's waiting there to take you back to the pier, so that isn't a problem.
Are you sure you have the right ship? We booked this ship and the ports of call are Labadee, Haiti; Falmouth, Jamaica, and Cozumel, Mexico. Perhaps the itinerary is changing at some point? We are booked in March 2012 and the itinerary is still these three ports through that date.
Hi Aero, Allure of the Seas alternates from Eastern to Western Caribbean, so every other week they do the one you are on, the others are EAstern. I go in Oct. and am doing the Eastern run.
