Oasis - Specialty Restaurant Dress Codes on Formal Nights
Folks,
On Celebrity on formal nights, there are some (not all) specialty restaurants that have smart casual as the dress code. Ons such is Tuscany.
What are the rules on Oasis for formal nights in specialty restaurants? Are there some of them that allow smart casual?
For the past several cruises we have opted out of formal nights. If we can, we go to a specialty restaurant; if not, we go to the buffet and have whatever, then go back to the solarium and relax. Hence the question.
In looking at the definition of Smart Casual for RCCL, it indicates jackets for men. Yet on Celebrity, the definition for smart casual does not.
Has anyone worn a shirt with a collar and slacks to a specialty restuarant on formal night and had a problem being seated? On Celebrity, we have twice (on differnt ships) gone to Tuscany on formal night dressed according to the Celebrity definition, and been fine.
When we were on AOS in 2008, we dined at Sabatini's (I think that is the name of it) and I did not have a jacket. We were fine.
My sense is that we would be admitted and seated with no issue, and I am probably making more of this than it's worth, but.....
