Default Johnny rockets

Anyone know of Johnny rockets has any veggie burgers or veggie hot dogs? Just wondering .. going to be on Freedom in August and I'm wondering if we'd bother to go here since I am a vegetarian.
Thanks for you input

They do not. They can make a grilled cheese for you. DW has been a vegetarian for 25+ years.

Snoozeman, thank you for your input. This helps a lot ... we won't be surprised when we get there.

In general, what does your DW think about he vegetarian selection on the RCI ships?

My son, who is 11, is also vegetarian but my DH and daughter aren't.

She is very keen on the salads located in the Windjammer. She can build her own with just what she wants. In the dining room she usually just orders something out of courtesy from the menu so the waiters don't make such a fuss. If it where up to her we'd eat in the Windjammer every night.

They have some very good vege sandwiches in the cafe too.

I did take a look at the menu in the main dining room .. not too many choices but I see that there is atlease one veggie option each night.

Thanks for you input.

Have fun on your next cruise

I am no a true vegetarian ,although I was one for about 20 years . I tend to primarily eat vegetarian food while cruising and can always find at least one entree .

Actually the Johnny Rockets on RCI ships do serve a veggie burger. It was on the menu two days ago on the Allure, and I recall Paul's wife getting them on the Oasis in 2009. It is called The Streamliner and is a 100% soy Boca Burger.

Thanks Dave, good to know. DW didn't order one, but she wouldn't have anyway. Maybe why I don't remember it. We haven't gone since they took the voucher out of the Diamond booklet.

I didn't get one either. Not that I am opposed to soy burgers, but I'm a confirmed beefeater, both with burgers and martini's!

I recall Paul told me the soy burger was so good that the question was asked if it wasn't really meat served by mistake.

One of my bad points about our Allure cruise was the service at Rockets. It was terribly slow. No excuse for it taking an hour and a half just to have a burger, fries, and soda.
