I think this is something new .... but you can now pre-book your iceshows and other tickets. Don't know if tickets are required or not .... but I've got them!

Q of O, I find your post very interesting! I've heard from other people that they hate the idea of having to reserve the shows before they board.

I hope other people will post with the pro's and con's of pre-booking!

I heard about this through my roll call at another site .... I guess I'm kinda fearful that if I hadn't been on the roll call, I would not have known about it, and possible missed some shows because they were fully booked.

WE have young kids so we must do the early dinner and late show ... so I feel good knowing we have our tickets.

BUt I feel bad for the person who has no internet presence whatsover and does know they can get their tickets online.

THis is my first time with pre-tickets. .... I will report back when I'm home and let you know how it goes!

I sailed Allure in Jan and you could pre book all the shows and pre book all the specialty dining facilities. You really don't have tickets; you just show up to the venues, and the staff have handheld machines that scan your seapass. That's all you do. It works very well

Default I pre-booked my shows

I am looking forward to our trip on Freedom of the Seas. I just booked our shows once they were available online. I would get back to you to see if it was worth booking ahead of time or not.

I dont like this idea.Seems to me you are setting up a time table to follow on your vaction before you ever leave home!We like the idea of just relaxing on the ship and if we want to go to a show then we will if we dont feel like it at the moment then we will do something else.Same for the resturaunts whos to say you are going to be hungry at a set time before you ever leave home? I dont know to each their own I just dont like time tables when I am on vaction.

If you book a show, you don't have to show up if it does not meet with your schedule.
That is why there is allways some empty seats for those who did not book a particular show.

Well then the whole idea of prebooking shows and resturaunts is kind of a waste of time if you dont even know if your going to show up.Why even go thru with prebooking. Why not wait until you are on the ship and see whats happening at the moment?I still dont like the idea and I think its a waste of time

I think Manuel was thinking that if you pre-book shows, u know you have a seat in the theater; but like everything, sometimes things come up to change your schedule, so if u can make the show, u have a seat, but if u don't make the show, well then u lose nothing. It is better to have a seat waiting for you, verses having to wait in line 20 min prior to a show, hoping u get a seat. Does this make sense?

I think it is a great idea for those who want to use it. I would hate to "miss out" on a show because I didn't book in advance.

The only problem I see are for those who don't know to pre-book and end up missing out.

When we did Oasis, we did all of our bookings beforehand and it was fantastic. Ice shows, dining, evening entertainment, flow riders all of it. It's so much fun to look on the website and plan your events.
