Congrats. The Grand Suite is very nice, we normally sail in one at least once a year. You'll have access to the lounge and use of the concierge. Try to register your set-sail online boarding pass at least 30 days prior to sailing as this will allow the concierge to reach out to you in advance of your sailing to set-up any special reservations (i.e., salon, specialty dining, etc.). You'll have a DVD player in the room, so if you'd like to bring some movies along, always a nice add-on. The lounge will also have a library of movies to select from as well. Outside of that, enjoy your suite.

When in December? We have a family group of 8 on the Mariner holiday cruise leaving Galveston Dec 26. We'd like to do the Grand Suite, but since we're paying for 4 state rooms for a peak time cruise (ouch), we'll settle for a balcony cabin this time...

thanks for tip on DVD's and registering 30 days prior!! i just wish they had mini bars in the room fridges honestly, thats an untapped source of revenue if they would!!!!
Im jealous too I have had JS but never a Grand Suite. You can go to the Concierge Lounge at night and drink free for several hours.
I just upgraded on a 4 day Jewel OTS to the last JS and the next category up is almost $5K for 2 people??!! For 4 days!!! I dont see a Grand Suite in my future. If Im paying that kind of money Im going on Seabourne or one of the more expensive lines.
Enjoy the concierge lounge. I hope your cruise is fabulous.
I have Mariner booked Jan 29th still, but other 2 pax not yet confirmed.
