Which Central Park View Cabin on Oasis???
I'm a light sleeper and go to bed around 10ish
(I like to get up early and need my sleep). So as far as noise...do you think there would be much difference between a Deck 9 Outside Central Park View room right above Chops Grille across from the Rising Tide Bar vs. more mid ship above the Park Cafe? I'm wondering how well the noise is contained? Our other option would be an inside room. Can anyone help...I need to make my decision tomorrow... Thanks! All the balconies facing the boardwalk and central park have sound proofing materials that surround the doors then they seal/close. You should have any trouble as it relates to noise. I would however mention that you'll have zero privacy in that cabin as the person across the ship from you can see you and you can see them. My last two trips on Oasis and Allure I noticed most of the passengers in these "inner" looking cabins had their shades drawn for the entire cruise.

Thanks...good to know!!

Like the above post said; the rooms are pretty quiet. I had boardwalk room on Allure; by 11pm it was quiet. You may want to book your room over the cafe verses Chops. The cafe is not open for dinner so there will be no noise from there; Chops will be open until 10 and then they clean up.

The walk to your cabin is minimal. Dont worry. If u want quiet at nite then book a room over park cafe. Let me know.

Thanks...I did end up booking the room above Chops to be closer to the elevator. I guess I'll have to wait and see if I made a bad decision! :)

Have fun. U will enjoy the ship

I think you'd have a quieter cabin with the Central Park balcony. They actually pipe in crickets at night and birds during the day. I would think, even if you could hear the crickets, that would help sleep. On the outside balcony cabin, I could hear the waves when moving through the night, plus the very slight rock, sleep very good on cruiseships.

Robin,
I think you will be quite happy with that cabin and location. I never felt like I had to walk that much to reach an elevator bank, they seem to have plenty for that ship. |
Thanks Donna!!

Hi Robin,
I opened a photo gallery here at Cruisemates and here is one of the pics of the balconies in Central Park: http://www.cruisemates.com/gallery/g...thumb88780.jpg |
