Royal Caribbean - Allure of the Seas Reader Review

NIce Donna...

I am so glad you got to see Allure, it is the most amazing ship at sea, without a doubt.

I love the picture you took of it next to Carnival Miracle. - That is one of Carnival's biggest ships but it looks like a Fantasy-class next to Allure, it is just dwarfed.

Great review, Donna. We have sailed on the Oasis of the Seas and we're booked for the Allure for May 2013! Talk about planning ahead!

Donna,

Looks like you had a great time! Have you ever taken a Princess cruise? How does Royal compare with Princess? Does Royal offer more things to on board?

Donna, knowing how much you wanted to sail this class, I am thrilled to see it exceeded your expectations. I watched the Allure sailaway on the webcam last night, with the Island Princess cruising out as well.....Made me wish March was next month! Good read, thanks.

All in all, I would say there are more activities on Royal Caribbean over Princess...I loved the Allure cruise, but I went for the ship, the islands were a bonus...I also truly enjoyed my Princess cruises, but for different reasons. My next one in 2013 will be another Princess to Alaska. Princess is a more relaxing atmosphere, much more toned down from Royal Caribbean. I will say however, there is nothing quite cruising in Alaska on Princess...They have good entertainment and food, where Royal Caribbean has IMHO, the best entertainment on water...Just remember, any cruise is what you make it, mix it up with some shows, may-be gambling if you enjoy that, some good shore excursions and good meals. You can't go wrong.

Thanks Donna!! That is pretty much what I figured about Princess vs. Royal. My best friend swears by Royal but she and her husband like to go out and socialize much more than I do. I am a little bit more subdued. My next cruise to the S. Caribbean only has one sea day, so I think I will take Princess and put off Royal for a cruise that has more time on the ship. Thanks! Glad you had a fabulous time!!

Awesome review Donna! Thanks so much. I'll have to put some thought into whether we would be better off planning excursions or just trying to enjoy the boat on the port days!
