Speedy Passport Time!

I just got my USA Passport via USPS Priority Mail today (2/13/12), I just put the application in 2 Friday's ago on (2/3/12), Now That's Speedy!

Fun Facts: I got my pictures taken at Walmart for $10 vs. the USPS price of $15, I say this because ppl i've talked to think the photo will be rejected if anyone else but the USPS does it. My head is completely shaved, so is my face, I know ppl were wondering if you needed hair for the picture to see what you looked like with hair, I think they just go by facial features. I chose standard delivery/processing time which was 4 to 6 weeks. For the cruise i'm going on in August on RCCL Explorer of The Seas I had applied (check marked) I wanted a passport card too, the lady at the USPS Post Office scribbled that out saying it was a waste of money because cards are for business ppl who are traveling out of the country every week about.

I decided to go on a cruise 12/20 for a 2/26 cruise. My passport was expiring 2/2012. I shipped my passport out 12/27 wondering if I did the right thing and not pay extra for expedited service as opposed to the normal 6-8 week lead time. I decided not to use this service. I recieved my passport on 01/13; I kid you not.

The hair thing is funny. If you "had to have hair" for the passport then my last two passports were invalid.

Renewed ours at the same time. Mine came in two weeks and the wifes took a little over three weeks. We didn't request expedited mail on either one.
