Royal Connect Phones

I had heard that a little while back that they had these Royal Connect Phones or some called them WOW Phones on the Oasis of the Seas. These were IPhones that were stripped of the outside calling feature and were use on the ship to call the cabins, or your friends or family members that may have them too. Also it had GPS on them to locate other members of your group that had them. Plus it also had the Cruise Compass in it for your cruise so you could see what was happening that day. I am trying to find out if these are still available. My family will be cruising on the OOS in August 2013 and there are about 23 of us and we will be all over the ship and this would make it easier to find each other. Any information would be appreciated.

Yes they have them on Oasis. They rent for $30 each.
Another, less expensive way to keep tabs on people is to call their room # and leave a message- they can then retrieve their messages from any phone and find out where you are... :)

I understand if you lose it they will charge $1000. Is that true?
