Transportation from Ft Lauderdale airport to the Oasis

I will be sailing on the Oasis in Aug 2013 and will be traveling with a very large group. It will be about 23 of us and we will be all flying on the same aircraft to Ft Lauderdale. Could anyone recommend a service that could take us all in one vehicle? I really don't want my family to have to take several vehicles to get to the ship. Thanks in advance.

To have a vehicle large enough for your size group, plus all the luggage is impossible. Once you get off the plane, and gather your luggage, go to the area with the taxis....there will be many lined up...distribute the family and all the baggage, and go...the port is a hop, skipi and, a jump away. The driver will drop you off, and, just wait for the others...there really is no way for anyone to get lost.

http://www.ridesas.com/ is a shuttle service, that has vans..email or call to see if they can perhaps use 2 vans to shuttle your group, exclusively... good luck.

Even if you do not prearrange it, there is a ground transportation area right outside baggage claim with a real person there to handle your request. He/she will obtain the vans or shuttles at shared ride pricing versus the bus ride. You are probable only saving $5 or so per person but it does add up with a group your size.

If keeping your group together for the short 15 min trip to the port is more important than saving money you could probably hire a hummer limo for an hour.

Google limo in Fort Lauderdale- one of the companies that show up is A Family Limousine which looks to have a vehicle that holds 30 people give or take. As for luggage, they may either put in under like other buses or attach a trailer. There may be others from the search but I only looked at pictures of this company

Your agent should be willing to take care of this for you - that's their job. And cruise specialists who do this all the time will have the names of companies they use on a regular basis for groups.

And yes, there are several companies with large enough vehicles for your group, that's not a problem if you want to keep the whole group together.

Keep in mind that the Ft. Lauderdale airport is only about 3-1/2 miles from the cruise pier and taxis are only $12 each way (not per person) and taxis are readily available. So if you don't need to keep the group together, that's the quickest, easiest way to get the job done.
