Any special interests groups on Explorer of the Seas 10/7/12

Are there any special interests groups on the October 7th sailing to Bermuda on the Explorer of the Seas?

There's no way of knowing what groups are on any sailing because the cruise lines do not make this information public. You may find information on some groups that happen to be advertising online to gain bookings. But every sailing has groups, just a matter of how many and what size.

CP....

Not all groups, of course, but I have found that if you Google your ships sail date (and the name of the ship) you often turn up any groups that are meant to appeal to special interests - as long as they have a web site.

I once found a ship with a "cross-dresser" group on the same ship as a Kosher cruise.

I thought "what a good deal for all the Barbra Streisands!"

That's what I was saying.... You can often search and see if there are any special interest groups, but there's no way of finding all the groups on a particular sailing. The cruise lines won't release that information for privacy reasons. Every sailing will have groups of all shapes and sizes, just no way of knowing who or what size.

Googling, and finding an ad for a group cruise, that may tilt your ability to enjoy your cruise, is a good way to avoid sail with say, a large group of American Girl fans, which sailed last year, and was taking over many venues onboard, or The Kate Gosselin cruise, that actually was cancelled, due to lack of intererest, which turned off many people.

If you find a group..give the Ta a call and ask how large the group is.

We once sailed a cruise that was doing commercials for Carnival, and Kathie Lee came onboard to shoot, as we got off..There were many areas blocked off, where no one could enter, on this cruise.
