Is it possible to get from Grand Central Station in NYC to the pier in Bayonne? On public transportation?

You can take a taxi to Penn Station and take the NJ Transit to an area where you might be able to get a bus ,definitely a taxi.Try googling NJ Transit .

I think only by NJ transit.. however, it leaves you a distance away from the term. You would need to call a taxi after getting off at the bus stop.
