Concierge Lounge / Diamond vs. Diamond Plus

What are the benefits of this lounge vs. diamond club ?
Alcohol policy? Free drinks?
On website it says honor system...how does this work ?
Concierge on every ship ?
I am approaching diamond plus and trying to figure out what the difference will be from diamond. I've spent a lot of $$$ to get to diamond plus...will it be worth it ?

Just my personal opinion. Ships without Diamond Lounges serve wine and champagne in the evenings. If no club there is a special dining area with specialty coffees brought in and the regular breakfast menu is served Those with dedicated diamond clubs also have wine and champagne, plus mixed drinks and sometimes free beer in the evening hours along with hors dourves. Also complimentary continetal breakfast and specialty coffees.

The Concierge Lounge serves both diamond+ and suite guests with about what they get in the Diamond plus lounge. On Oasis and Allure Ala Carte Menu is served. To me there is a defininte difference in the clientele in the lounges. Check for yourself and see which you like best.

Not every ship has a dedicated Concierge Lounge. Can't really say how they handle their Suite and Diamond Plus cruisers, since we tend to avoid those ships.

We were on the Jewel OTS in October/November, and there were HUNDREDS of D+ members on board. The Concierge Lounge is very small, so they used the Vortex Lounge as their "overflow" CL. There were crew members at the door checking SeaPass cards to make sure only Suite and D+ folks got in. Also, if you wanted to use the CL on deck 10, you had to insert your SeaPass card in the lock, just like getting into your cabin.

For Suite and D+ guests using the CL, there are complimentary cocktails, wine, champagne, beer, plus hot and cold hors d' ouvres (sp) from 5:00 to 8:30 p. m., plus they have a small breakfast offering (no hot stuff). Can't really say what they get in the Diamond Lounge - don't use it.

If the ship as both a diamond lounge and a conceige club, they are the same in terms of free alcohol and services - non noticeable difference. As a Diamond Plus member I tend to use the conceige club over the diamond club as they are located in more easy to get to places on the ships that have both lounges. For example, on Allure the conceige club is more centrally located near the mid ship cabins; whereas, the Diamond club is on deck six over the promenade.

The big perk as DM+ is that if you are on a ship with only a conceige lounge you get access as the make-shift diamond nightly event is normally just wine and 25% off other drinks.
