Default New Soda Machines Included in RCI Soda Packages

New soda machines on Royal Caribbean cruise ships are a hit - USATODAY.com

I like the "serve-yourself" aspect of this, and will definitely bite next time I cruise RCI.

Definitely like it!

Able to try 125 coke flavors for $6.50 a day, count me in. 60 sugar free options comes in handy to gain 5 instead of 10 pounds on ship

These machines are popping up in many chain restaurants such as: Buffalo Wild Wings and Noodles and Company.

Betty and I were at Buffalo Wild Wings and I did say: "I'll bet they put these on a cruise ship." Sure enough they have. I'm glad to hear they worked on the cross contamination issues.

It will be nice to have an Orange Fanta on my next Royal Caribbean cruise.

Take care,
Mike (Orange soda is my guilty pleasure)

Sounds like a great idea and I love the self service part of it....I bet more ships and cruiselines will add these too...

I am not a fan of waiting at a (very slow) bar for a soda every time I want one (which is often when I cruise).

Whenever we cruise I always get the soda pkg. Just an added convenience. They sound very popular hope the lines aren't too long.

I like the machines. I would be more likely to get the soda package.

I like Disney's concept much better though. (free soda/cola)

Free soda and $1600 extra for a family of four to cruise Disney for a week... even I don't drink that much soda.
